Notes

Pro Tips:
  • Don't overcrowd the baking dish; allow space for even cooking and browning.
  • Always use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • For extra sticky and caramelized tops, briefly place the uncovered dish under the broiler for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching carefully.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking to redistribute juices, keeping it tender.
Serving Suggestions: Serve these honey garlic chicken thighs over fluffy white or brown rice to soak up the sauce. Steamed broccoli, roasted asparagus, or a simple side salad make excellent accompaniments. Garnish with fresh chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
Storage & Reheating: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently in a microwave or for best results, in an oven at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes, adding a splash of water or broth if the sauce is too thick.
Variations: For a spicier kick, increase red pepper flakes or add sriracha. Mince ½ teaspoon of fresh ginger into the sauce for more aroma. A squeeze of fresh lime or lemon juice brightens the finished dish. For a vegetarian option, use firm tofu or tempeh, pressing out excess water before coating and baking.
