1) Information We Collect
A. You provide
- Email + name when you subscribe, comment, or contact us.
- Message content you send via forms or email.
B. Collected automatically
- Usage data (pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referring URL).
- Approximate location (city/region) inferred from IP address.
- Device/tech data (browser, OS, device type).
- Cookies & similar tech (see §4) for analytics, preferences, and (if enabled) ads/affiliate attribution.
C. From third parties
- Email service (delivery status, unsubscribes).
- Analytics/ad partners (aggregated traffic and audience insights).
- Affiliate networks (conversion/commission reporting, if applicable).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (§12).
2) How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and content.
- Send newsletters/updates you opt in to (unsubscribe anytime).
- Respond to messages and provide support.
- Measure performance and diagnose issues (analytics, debugging).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.
- Attribute affiliate referrals and measure campaigns (if applicable).
3) Legal Bases (EU/UK visitors)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (e.g., email marketing, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (basic analytics, security, fraud prevention), and legal obligation (record-keeping). You can withdraw consent at any time (see §9).
4) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and local storage to:
- keep the Site secure and functional;
- remember preferences (e.g., dismissing pop-ups);
- analyze traffic/performance;
- support ad personalization/affiliate attribution (if enabled).
Manage cookies via your browser and, where required, our cookie banner. Blocking some cookies may affect functionality.
5) Analytics, Ads & Affiliates
Analytics. We may use tools like Google Analytics 4 (with IP truncation where available) to understand traffic and performance. These services place cookies and provide aggregated reports.
Advertising (if enabled). If we run ads (e.g., Google AdSense/Mediavine/Raptive), providers may use cookies and device identifiers to show, personalize, and measure ads, and prevent fraud. Industry choices are available at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
Affiliate links (if enabled). We may participate in programs (e.g., Amazon Associates, ShareASale, Impact). Clicking such links may place a cookie so we can earn a commission if you purchase—at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
6) How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to run the Site and services:
- Service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics, ad/affiliate partners) under appropriate safeguards;
- Legal/disclosure (to comply with law or protect rights/security);
- Business transfers (e.g., merger/sale), where this Policy will continue to apply or you’ll be notified of changes.
We do not sell personal information for money. See §10 regarding CPRA “sell/share” definitions.
7) Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or we purge inactive records;
- Contact messages: as long as needed for support/legal records;
- Analytics: per provider defaults or in aggregated form.
We may keep limited records to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online system is 100% secure—please use the internet with care.
9) Your Choices & Rights
Email: Unsubscribe via the link in any email or write [email protected].
Cookies/Tracking: Control cookies in your browser and (where available) our banner. Some providers offer additional opt-outs on their sites.
EU/UK/EEA and similar jurisdictions: Subject to law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to certain processing, and portability of data you provided. We’ll verify your identity and respond within required timelines.
10) California Privacy Rights (CPRA)
California residents may request to know, access, delete, correct, limit use/disclosure of sensitive PI (we don’t intentionally collect sensitive PI), and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (cross-context behavioral advertising).
Do we “sell” or “share” PI? We don’t sell PI for money. If we use advertising/analytics that qualifies as “sharing,” we will honor opt-out requests.
To exercise rights, email [email protected] with subject “California Request.” You may use an authorized agent with proper authorization. We will verify your request (e.g., email confirmation).
11) Do Not Track
Because there’s no industry consensus, the Site may not respond to DNT signals. We do honor legally required consent/opt-out mechanisms (e.g., CPRA, cookie banner where applicable).
12) Children’s Privacy
The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 provided data, contact us to delete it.
13) International Transfers
If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
14) Third-Party Links
We link to other websites we don’t control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies—review those before submitting personal information.
15) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, if changes are material, take additional steps required by law (e.g., renewed consent or prominent notice).
